About

Darren O'Quinn

M. Darren O’Quinn, a native of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, began his legal career in 1985 working as a law clerk at one of Arkansas’s most prestigious and largest law firms, then known as House, Holmes & Jewell (which eventually became Dover & Dixon). After receiving his Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law in 1987, he joined the firm’s Litigation Section as an associate where his practice emphasized the defense of insurers, doctors, hospitals, nurses, pharmacists, nursing homes, and personal injury, eventually being named a partner of the firm.

In 2002, Mr. O’Quinn became a founding member of The Law Offices of Darren O’Quinn, where he began to prosecute the types of cases he formerly defended. Through his over 30 years of experience in both defending and prosecuting cases, Mr. O’Quinn has gained valuable insight into successfully screening and aggressively preparing cases for trial so that, ultimately, a careless wrongdoer will accept responsibility for the harms and losses caused to an innocent victim.

Mr. O’Quinn holds a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and was awarded a Doctor of Pharmacy in 1984 and licensed as a pharmacist. Mr. O’Quinn also holds a degree from Henderson State University, where he majored in chemistry, biology, and mathematics. He was an assistant professor of Pharmacy Law at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy for 30 years and also lectures on pharmacy law at Harding University College of Pharmacy

He has been appointed multiple times by the Governor to serve as a Special Justice to the Arkansas Supreme Court and has served as a special judge in the district and circuit courts of Pulaski County. Darren O’Quinn served as an assistant editor for the academically prestigious UALR Law Journal. In law school, he was awarded the Downie Award for the outstanding legal ethics student. He was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity.

Darren writes often about his food experiences on his Facebook Page, Mouth of the South

He is recognized with a top AV rating by  Martindale-Hubbell and a Super Lawyer in the south, a Fellow of the American Society of Pharmacy Law, and a member of the Arkansas Pharmacists AssociationArkansas Bar Association, Arkansas Trial Lawyers AssociationAmerican Bar Association, and American Association for Justice (formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America). He is active in church and community affairs, having served on numerous church committees and on the board of directors of several nonprofit organizations. Mr. O’Quinn is a volunteer attorney for Central Arkansas Legal Services and Arkansas Volunteer Lawyers for the Elderly, which provide free legal services for those in need and who cannot afford representation. He is a vigorous proponent and volunteer of the Arkansas Advocates for Nursing Home Residents

Mr. O’Quinn trains Doberman Pinschers and runs marathons to relax in his free time. He quarterbacked his high school football team to the State Championship Finals and was selected for the Arkansas High School All-Star game. After being recruited by approximately 30 universities, he signed with a Division-I school but then decided to stay at home and play for his local college. There, he was a four-year letterman, part of championship teams, received numerous All-Conference honors, was voted Team Captain, and played both ways his senior year as a tight end and defensive end. He rarely came off the field, because he was also on all Special Teams. Simply put, there is no “give up” in Mr. O’Quinn.

Mr. O’Quinn is a licensed to practice in all Arkansas courts, the Eastern and Western federal districts of Arkansas, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Our Firm

OUR PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of The Law Offices of Darren O’Quinn is based upon protecting and preserving the rights and dignity of all individuals. We are committed to representing those who have suffered any injustice. When lives have been lost, injuries sustained, or unfair advantage taken, every person has the right to redress the wrongs. The law should protect all people equally from physical, emotional, financial, and legal wrongs regardless of their social or economic status.

We believe that the law is at its finest when it protects the weak, helpless, and enfeebled from the strong. Lawyers often work with people whose lives have been devastated and act against those who have caused harm. We believe that in order to protect the public from the recurrence of unsafe practices and products, the judicial system must be used when legislative standards and industry practices fail to protect the public. Experience has proven that a single lawsuit can eliminate the dangers caused by unsafe practices and products.

At The Law Offices of Darren O’Quinn, we apply our legal knowledge and skills to aggressively and zealously help our clients in achieving these goals and obtaining fair compensation for their injuries and damages.

We help clients through the process of recovering from their losses. Caring for our clients and their case is, and always will be, the philosophy of this firm.
